Energy Consumptions

April 7th, 2008

It should be known that in a thermodynamically Closed system, any energy put into the system that will be maintained at a constant temperature (which is a standard mode of operation for modern air conditioners) requires the energy removal rate from the air conditioner to increase . This increase proves that for each unit of energy input into the system (say to power a lightbulb in the closed system) requires the unit to remove the energy. In order to do that the air conditioner must increase its consumption by the opposite of its efficiency times the same input unit of energy. As an example, take that inside the closed system, a 100 Watt light bulb is activated, and the air conditioner has an efficiency of 50%. The air conditioners energy consumption would increase by 200 Watts to compensate for this, thus making the 100W light bulb utilise 300W of energy.

The Air Conditioning we sell is the cheapest around, with prices starting at only £249.00, it finally makes air conditioning a luxury which is affordable!

Choosing the right system

April 2nd, 2008

Creating the correct climate is not a simple matter. Different factors determine which equipment is the best for you. Here are some things to keep in mind. To what extent do you want to control the indoor climate?
Do you want just cooling?  Or do you want ventilation and/or heating also?  The choice will determine the type of system.

How many rooms?
The number of rooms it is required in will determine the system.  In case of multiple rooms, it is possible to connect several indoor units to one outdoor unit.
Which kind of room(s)?
Shop? Office? Bedroom or Living room?  Each application will require its own system.Capacity?
A system too strong will lead to draught, fluctuating temperatures and high energy bills.  With a low capacity you will never reach the wanted temperature. Choosing the right capacity is mainly measuring the room and assessing what is in the room that produces heat. Alternatively you can use an air conditioning Installer who will take into account the influences on the capacity need like solar infiltration, lighting, number of occupants, etc.Position of the outdoor unit?
The outdoor unit should be in an appropriate place, on a solid base and accessible for maintenance.Weather durability?
Ensure the outdoor unit is safe and attached; this will prolong the life of your air conditioning.

Just-Coolers… How it all started

April 1st, 2008

Just-Coolers is a trading name of Eurolamp Ltd. Eurolamp ltd Started back in 2002 in the back of a car garage selling Light bulbs, due to the demand of the product we quickly expanded to 2 small warehouses in Bournemouth.  In the Third year we started importing air conditioning, we started with the KFR-36GW. further on in that year, due to demand, we ordered the next 2 products to add to our catalogue, the KFR-51GW and the KFR-71GW, now selling 3 products we could cater for most needs, due to this we saw it hit off bigger than anticipated, we worked through the summer in the two small warehouses and decided to opt for one large warehouse in Ferndown. In 2006 we moved, and had a great summer, we were bringing a 40ft container a week and that was not enough! After the success of 2006, we started looking to move nearer to home, driving to Ferndown everyday was getting too far to travel, so we looked nearer to home. 2007 came and we had found our new base, this Unit is in Boscombe, is bigger than Ferndown and is only a 5 minute drive from us all. We needed to keep our Ferndown Unit to cope with demand. Towards the end of the year in 2007 we opted for one more product which would add to our catalogue, a portable air conditioning unit, this will be a cheaper unit with no install, just plug and it will cool. This was the beginning of the KY-32GW. Now, pre season we are stocked up of all the KFR- 36GW, the KFR- 51GW, the KFR-71 GW and the KY-32GW. We are ready for your telephone calls, so don’t delay, call one of our sales team today!

How it all works

March 28th, 2008

The Important element of air conditioners are the refrigerants, most often a fluorocarbon that flows constantly through the conditioners mechanisms. Becoming a liquid form and giving off heat when it is compressed, and becoming a gas and absorbing heat when that pressure is taken away. The mechanisms that evaporate and compress the refrigerant are divided into two areas, an indoor air filter fan and a cooling coil. And outdoor comprising of a compressor, condenser coil and the fan.In the air cooling cycle, hot humid air is drawn from the room through the filter and over the cooling coil. This coil contains a refrigerant fluid with an extremely low boiling point, i.e. it will have boiled and evaporated at room temperature. The hot air gives up its heat to the refrigerant and in the process, causes the refrigerant to vaporize. Cooled dehumidified air is blown back into the room. The vaporized refrigerant will then be extracted to the compressor, which pumps it under pressure to the condenser coils.

Human Needs from Air Conditioning

March 27th, 2008

What is air conditioning?

If you look up AIR CONDITIONING in the Collins English Dictionary you will see:

“A system or process for Controlling the Temperature and sometimes the Humidity and Purity of the air”Controlling the temperature is making it able to heat and cool, not only cool. The air that we breathe today is made up of 3 major components; they are all capable of carrying energy (heat):1) The molecular constituents of the air we breathe in: Oxygen (23%), Nitrogen (76%), Carbon Dioxide (< 1%) and Inert Gases (< 1%)2) The moisture or water vapor: Moisture is present in the air at all times, the quantity present being dependent upon the air temperature. The higher the air temperature the more moist it will be.3) Airborne Particles: These are particles, unseen by the human eye, suspended within the air from either industrial or natural pollution such as Pollen, Dust, Smoke, Germs… etc.As air is the only media that surrounds the whole of our body, therefore we need to condition this air to provide comfort. The action needed is:1) To be able to control temperature (Heating & cooling) which means we need to be able to add energy (for heating) or remove unwanted energy (for cooling). Generally our comfort conditions range between 20 - 25 °C in the UK.2) Controlling Humidity (moisture content in the air around us), either to humidify (add moisture) when the surroundings are dry, which can result in dryness of skin, dry throat and encourages a static built-up) or to de-humidify (remove moisture) when the amount of moisture in the air is above average, which can result in uncomfortable breathing conditions. Ideal humidity is generally between 30-70 % RH (Relative Humidity) in the UK.3) Provide Ventilation to provide the necessary amount of oxygen for breathing and dispelling carbon dioxide, odours, Smoke, Dust etc. General ventilation requirements range from 5 to 18 litres per second per person.4) Provide Filtration to clean both outside and inside air by removing dust, pollen, etc. Dust in dry air combined with lack of moisture in the air is the main cause of static shocks.Lack of ventilation and filtration together with the lack of maintenance causes Sick Building Syndrome (SBS).Therefore our air conditioning ensures we tick all the boxes, they all have the ability to:HEAT, COOL, HUMIDIFY, VENTILATE AND FILTER
